Aqua Filtrations range of big blue water filter housings are designed to be compatible with most industry standard 10″ big blue water filter cartridges.

Our 10 inch water filter housings big blue are commonly used for whole house water filtration, point of entry (POE) water filter and for commercial RO and Pre-Filtration.

Aqua Filtrations big blue filter housings feature a blue sump with a white flat-cap style lid with 1″ inlet/outlet threaded fittings.  The big blue filter housings body has a robust design and can easily handle high pressures without any water leaks.

The big blue filter housing has a practical design in combination with double O-rings one inside filter cap and the other on the edge of the filter body to ensure maximum leak proof performance and ease of filter cartridge replacement.

The big blue filter housing can be mounted individually or connected in a series.

Big Blue filter housings can be used for whole house water filtration and small commercial water purification applications.

A big blue water filter housing is used in conjunction with big blue water filter cartridges, the filter cartridge fits inside the big blue filter housing forming a tight seal between the big blue water filter housing and housing cap, allowing the untreated water to only flow through the water filter cartridge.
HOW A BIG BLUE WATER FILTER HOUSING WORKS?
The water feed is piped into the water filter housing, the water flows from the inlet side of the white water filter housing end cap which is the fixed part which distributes the flow of water and the sump is the part of the water filter housing that is removable or unscrewed.

The big blue filter housing has an inlet and outlet port, this allows the water to flow in and out. The water then reaches the filter housing sump which houses the big blue water filter cartridge, the filter cartridge is seated in the centre of the housing creating a seal between the top and bottom parts of the water filter housing, this allows the water to only travel through the surface area of the filter cartridge whereby filtration takes place.

The purified water will follow the easiest path through the outlet port of the water filter housing, a water filter housing can be connected in stages or in series and the water then flows through the inlet of the second stage filter and undergoes the next process of water filtration and so on to the third stage.
