How it works:

The 3 Stage 20” Big Blue Whole House Water filtration system uses filter cartridge technology to purify water.

The water feed is piped into the 3 stage big blue whole house water filter system, the water flows from the inlet side of the top fixed end of the water filter housing. The filter housing has an inlet and outlet port, this allows for the water to flow in and out. The water then reaches the bottom chamber which is the movable end of a water filter housing, the water filter cartridge is seated in the centre of the housing creating a seal between the top and bottom parts of the filter housing, this allows the water to only travel through the surface area of the filter cartridge whereby filtration takes place. The purified water will follow the easiest path through the outlet port of the water filter housing, the stages are connected in series and the water then flows through the inlet of the second stage filter and undergoes the next process of water filtration and so on to the third stage.

A 3 stage whole house filter system can have many different water filter cartridge configurations, the cartridges can be selected to suit many different water filtration requirements, making it a versatile and economical water purifier.
