Clino-X is a natural refined Zeolite and serves excellent as a water treatment filter. Clinox Zeolite can be used in commercial and home water purification systems. Swimming pool sand filters are an especially useful application for Clino-X Filter Media. Depending on requirement for particulate removal, Clino-X can be a direct replacement for silica sand, or used in conjunction with sand. Clinox filter media can be disposed of easily in any outdoor location without harmful effects to the environment, clino-x zeolite can be regenerated with salt water. Clino-X is ideal for waste water treatment, drinking water systems and swimming pool sand filters. Clino-X zeolite sand filter media is the material of choice for removal of ammonium, lead and many heavy metal ions.

Advantages of Clino-X Sand Filter

The main advantage of Clino-X zeolite over silica quartz sand filter media is that it produces cleaner, safer, higher quality water. Clinox filter sand will, unlike sand, additionally bind and remove contaminates such as ammonia and (N), and when finished the Clino-X in most cases can be applied as a “slow release” fertilizer for gardens, agriculture and horticultural use. Clino-X filter sand is lighter than sand making it easier to backwash, plus the physical structure of the processed granules is much blockier and angular shaped, making it pack better in the filter bed and allowing increased rates of filtration.

With nominal service flow rates up to 15 gpm/ft2 in pressure filters, ClinoX allows significant savings in initial equipment costs when compared to traditional filter media. Clinox allows for peak flow rates up to 20 gpm/ft2.

ClinoX Produces Superior Water Clarity

Mainstream sediment filtration media rely on mechanical straining to remove suspended solids for turbidity reduction. Clino-X water filtration media incorporates straining as well as ion exchange, sedimentation and flocculation to produce crystal clear water down to < 0.1 NTU of turbidity.

Water Savings with Clino-X

The loading capacity of Clino-X filter media is up to 1.5 times greater than multi-media and up to 2.8 times greater than sand filters. This results in longer run times with less frequent backwashing, resulting in significant water savings.
