RT Series Industrial RO Systems are part of a family of Reverse Osmosis Machines designed for the purification of fresh and brackish feed waters which have a TDS value up to 2000 ppm. What is a Reverse Osmosis Machine and how does it work?
A Reverse Osmosis Machine, commonly referred to as RO water purification, is a process whereby raw water is demineralized or deionized by pumping water under pressure through a semipermeable Reverse Osmosis Membrane.

The Reverse Osmosis water purification process uses a membrane separation technology, in which feed water (borehole water, surface water & sea water) is split into two different streams. The permeate (Fresh RO Water) is pushed through the membrane into the permeate column in the centre of the Reverse Osmosis Membrane tube, the concentrate water containing the brine will be rejected to the waste outlet of the reverse osmosis system. A key requirement for the RO Water Treatment application to work effectively are high pressures which are obtained by diaphragm pumps, multi-stage centrifugal pumps and high pressure piston pumps for seawater desalination reverse osmosis applications.
